Citizens For Our Betterment

Today being election day, I think it would be appropriate to talk about musicins that have supported the election and the camdidates. Fall Out Boy have continually showed their support by planning to release their new album today, even though it has been postponed to December 15th. They also held a rally for Obama previously. At the end of August, Fall Out Boy, along with other bands under the Decaydance label released a mixtape called "Welcome to the New Administration". The purpose of this is to raise awareness of the election. The other artists involved were The Academy Is..., Hey Monday, The Cab, Ludacris, Cobra Starship, A Rocket To The Moon, and others.
I find it extremely influential when artists tae time to send out these messages to the younger generation that they appeal to. They could be using their celebrity status to put bad ideas into the minds of their fans, but instead they inspire their fans to become involved in a good cause. More and more artists are becoming involved in this. Do you think its a change for the better or worse?
